Edit Your Title Tags

Give each HTML file in your plan a meaningful TITLE tag. That is, enter content for its TITLE tag that makes a meaningful title for the file.

For each HTML file:

  1. Select the file in Folder View
  2. Right click to get up the context menu
  3. Select Properties

In the properties dialog box, fill out the TITLE blank to set the TITLE tag in the underlying HTML. The example below illustrates an appropriate title for the 2nd level file about.htm in directory Amel of the sample projects Demish Characters.

You can, of course, do the same thing manually by editing the HTML directly in HTML view.

If you wish to use this option, open the HTML file in Page View and look for the view control at the bottom of the page.

Page View modes (i.e. views for individual pages vs. whole site)

  • Normal lets you edit your web page in WYSIWYG fashion
  • HTML reveals the code in a text editing context
  • Preview lets you look at the web page "in action"

When you have entered a TITLE (i.e .content for the page's TITLE Tag) you will see it listed beside the name of the HTML file in Folder View
